Although, I like the concept and design of this one, I don’t like the bulky plug or how the cord is wrapped around the Dot while inside the hanger. Users overwhelmingly like this particular item because of its uniqueness and functionality.
One buyer complained that the White Dot does not come with a white cord, which means using the white hanger, the black cord will be exposed which takes away from the look of the hanger.
Note: Also, be careful if you order this one because there is a newer version, but it is geared ONLY for the Google Home Mini Voice Assistant. It also comes in one color, black.

Will this mount work for the 1st generation?
Seller: “It will with the smallest of adjustments. See the little tab on the bottom front? Its really thin and if you cut it off it will hold the first generation perfect and it will stick out 1/4 inch so you can manually rotate the volume. We have the tab there for ceiling installs so unless you are doing that, you will be all set.”
Where is the cord stored in this mount?
Seller: “The cord isn’t stored in the Mount. The Spot Deluxe comes with a custom adapter that connects the custom outlet plug to the device and is very small. One of the pictures shows the pieces that are included. This mount is designed to be as low profile as possible.”
I would like one plugged into my bedside lamp which has no ground. Can I remove the “dummy” ground plug on this unit and will it still work correctly?
Seller: “Yes the dummy plug keeps it from teetering, it has nothing to so with the operation. If the plug is loose just push them in a bit. Should work fine.”

I really like these cases. Who would have known they would be available, but of course only for the new generation Dots. I have one for my black speaker, I chose the charcoal. It looks great. In fact, most of the cases displayed online are really unique with the different colors, fabrics and leather materials they have been constructed from. I think it’s a nice touch and a great option to dress up your Dot and accentuate your home decor.
Some people are concerned whether you can hear the speaker through the care or whether you can charge it without having to remove the case. The answer is yes to both inquiries. The bottom of the case has two groups of open slots for the speaker to be heard through. And the speakers will work while charging.
There are quite a bit of complaints from buyers that the case will come off or the case does not prevent slippage if placed on a smooth surface. Most buyers have not found this to be the case. Most like the case and have invested in several assorted colors for their device(s).
